Small Jr. becomes local certified artist

[GREATER BOSTON AREA, MA] [September 18th, 2026] - SNAKE Magazine is pleased to share that Kevin Small Jr., Founder & President, has officially received his Artist Housing Certification from the City of Boston Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture.

Approved this week by Chief of Arts & Culture Joseph Henry, the certification enables Small Jr. to qualify for eligible artist live and work spaces across the city. The designation remains valid through September 2034 and supports local creators seeking designated living and working spaces within Boston’s housing market.

"Securing this certification is great because it keeps me rooted in Boston’s creative community," said Small Jr. "I am looking forward to investing time in the search while continuing to find ways to contribute to the culture of our city.”

With this official status, Small Jr. plans to utilize his certification to meet fellow creators, access local artist space lotteries, and continue expanding his work with SNAKE Magazine.
